Yeah !! now they have a new argument to restore the multimillion dollar tax payer funded bonuses .These companies are not even ashamed that they are running on money from the American tax payers without which many would have had to sell their buildings now .
These super brains used their intellect for all the wrong reasons when they created the famous Collateral Debt Obligations ( CDO ) that even Alan Greenspan said he could not understand . These guys then loaned money all over the globe , without taking into account any risk factors . With little Government oversight in the US financial industry these people were ultimately responsible for the well being of world financial health .A little caution and responsible behavior from these people would have saved us from the catastrophical global recession that we are now . But nooo , they loaned money as if there was no tomorrow and got millions in bonuses for selling loans and securities to unsuspecting investors and the whole world is now bearing the brunt of their greed with more than half a million layoffs every month in US alone.

Sick & tired of this VSC processing time frames, I hope they know what they are doing?
Applied for my H1/H4 (8th year) extension on October 22, 2007 and no approval as of today..not sure how long its going to take in order to approve these H1/H4 extension....my last approved H1 will expire in March 1st week of 2008. (still waiting for 140 approval at TSC).. Drama part-2 starts when ever 140 gets approved and applying for another extension .. oh lord!!
Not sure if VSC is trying to meet processing time frames for these visa extension applications with applicants Date of Birth....:D (I am sure that's what they are trying to do with cases filed in EB2 for 140/485)
oh god!! please give us energy & patience to deal with this processing centers!!

I was looking for getting VISA for my Niece and Nephew, who are below 14yrs. But I didnt find an option for them not going to consulate.

Hi, I am in exactly the same situation. Would just the I-140 receipt number suffice? My employer also hasn't given me any copies of the I-140 and labor certification copies. My I-140 is approved and it's been more than 180 days since I-485 filing..please advise.

I meant re-apply for her 485
I have to apply for my wife as my derivative of 485. My 485 was approved on July 8th 2010. Below is the timeline
July 1st - Applied Wife's 485
July 8th - My 485 was approved
July 13th - Wife's 485 Denied due to outdated forms
July 14th - My H1, Wife's H4 and I-94 Expired
July 19th - Planning on sending a new 485 application for spouse
I'm mainly concerned about two things
1. Is she out of status for 5 days from July 14th to 19th
2. Can I still apply her as a derivative, as my 485 is already approved.

My recent Visa was issues in Nov 2006 (less than year). This is my 2nd H1(new) with the same company. I worked with the same company in US from 1999 till 2004 dec. Then was in India for 2 years and came back again on new H1 in Jan 2007. Labor was filed in 2004.
If it is more than 1 year then G-825A wont be cross checked with the info what you gave on DS-157.
This is very good point. I am putting all my info as per DS-157. But the confusion is over what address I will show while I was in USA. Definitley I will put Indian addresses while I was in India and US addresses while I was in US.
Question is: What US Address should I show - which are in my tax-return ?

as I understand the process, I fyou apply and get the green card approval before marriage, you cannot bring your wife over here as it will become family based immigration.
The ideal thing is to do it while still on h1 and then do the 485 application.
Since you are from rest of the world ? the rules and dates will be different for you. not sure how though ? sorry !

I got an RFE on I-485 for the incomplete medicals. The RFE says that a 'specific' test results are missing and they need that test results to complete my application. I went to the same doctor and the lady there said, I did take that 'specific' test last year when I had medicals, but doctor forgot to mention that results in I-693. She said she is going to fill out a new I-693 form with all the results including the missing one (from old results) and will give me that sealed cover. Will this be enough? or do I need to take that 'specific' tests now and send the results?
I am planning to send the results tomorrow overnite.
Also, my Immigration Office number is 009 with TSC. Anybody got any approvals from this IO?

You can start Greencard application in EB2 after receiving the MS degree in December 2006. H-1B and GC are two separate entities.
any help appreciated. My labor got cleared from BEC. It was filed under RIR category . The minimum req for the job specified in LCA is BS+5 yrs+2 months.Salary is 80k/yr.Does this qualify me for EB2 also the ETA form has my qualification as my BE+MS .Also it specifies my past experience before joining the company. In my previous experience i was promoted and worked in a fortune 500 company .Will this qualify me for EB2. Also i heard that the category is determined in 140 stage.any help .thanks in advance.The occupation code also specifies that 65% or more in this job have bachelors and masters .Also it was mentioned it requires years of work experience for this job.Will this qualify for EB2. I am eager to know as i am from rest of the world and i can file 140/485/ead/ap together now.Any inputs.
